1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a room or joining a watch party on Watch Party (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Watch Party lets you create or join rooms that play a video URL in sync with other participants, with chat, voice, video, and screen-sharing features. The Service may also offer Global TV (also described as world channels or public live TV), which helps you browse a directory of third-party public live streams and play a selected stream URL in your room. The Service is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Share, stream, or distribute content that you do not have the right to share.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other participants.
  • Transmit unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

You are solely responsible for the content you share, the URLs you choose to play, and any communications you send through the Service.

4. Third-Party Video and URLs

The Service allows playback of video URLs from third-party platforms (such as YouTube, Vimeo, direct media links, and live stream URLs). We do not host, store, or control that media on our servers for playback; streams are requested by your browser from third-party origins. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, quality, or availability of third-party content. Your use of third-party content is subject to the terms, licences, and policies of the relevant provider or rights holder.

5. Global TV — Third-Party Public Live Channels

This section applies when you use Global TV or any similar feature that lists or plays public live television-style streams by country or channel name.

5.1 What Global TV Is (and Is Not)

  • Global TV is a directory and playback helper only. It surfaces links to streams that are described in publicly available third-party playlists (including community-maintained lists such as iptv-org/iptv).
  • Streams are third-party, public-facing URLs. We do not broadcast, originate, retransmit, encode, or host the underlying video on Watch Party infrastructure. Playback occurs between your device (and other participants' devices) and the third-party stream source.
  • We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any broadcaster, channel owner, network, or rights holder whose name or logo may appear in a listing.
  • Listing a channel name, logo, or country in the directory does not mean we verify that the stream is authorised, licensed, complete, or lawful in your jurisdiction.

5.2 Your Responsibility

By selecting or playing any Global TV channel in a room, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that your access and viewing comply with all applicable laws, including copyright, broadcasting, and geo-restriction rules in your country or region.
  • You will not use Global TV to infringe intellectual property rights or to circumvent technical protection measures where prohibited by law.
  • If you are a room host, you are responsible for what you choose to play for other participants, including any public live channel you select through Global TV.

5.3 Availability and Accuracy

Public streams may be offline, mislabelled, geo-blocked, low quality, or removed without notice. We do not guarantee that any channel will play, remain available, or match its description. We may change, limit, or remove Global TV (or any channel listing) at any time without liability.

5.4 No Warranties for Third-Party Streams

Global TV and all linked streams are provided "as is". We disclaim all warranties regarding third-party streams, including any implied warranty that a stream is public domain, freely licensed, or permitted for your use.

5.5 Copyright and Takedown

If you believe content accessed through the Service infringes your rights, contact the project owner via the repository hosting this Service with sufficient detail to identify the work and the stream URL in question. We may remove or disable access to directory data or features where appropriate, but we cannot control third-party hosts. Rights holders should also contact the operator of the stream source directly.

6. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. The Service's own code, design, and content are owned by us or licensed to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Darkpoint, the operators of Watch Party, or our affiliates, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — including Global TV, any third-party stream, or content chosen by you or other participants — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim (which, for the free Service, is zero).

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Darkpoint and the operators of Watch Party from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content or URLs you submit, play, or share in a room, including streams selected through Global TV; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your infringement of any third-party right.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
